I beat Phantom Hourglass just now. It’s fun, and was worth it. I made a copy of my save file before going to beat the last boss, so I should sill be able to play some of the other aspects of it. There are a lot of different ship parts, and other treasues to find, so I’ll prolly keep playing it till I find them all.
My weekend follows below, read on if you are interested.

Just in case anyone cares, all of my mortgages are now paid off thanks to the massive turnip windfall of over 2 million bells last friday. No more debt to Tom Nook and I still have around 700K bells in the bank to buy random thigns from him.

Fishing competition is done, and it went very well. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I know I did.
Fishin’ Contest Results
1st place – John
2nd place – Alisdaire
3rd place – Goater
I have decided to host a fishing contest in Animal Crossing tonight. Get me your friend code / town name / character name and I’ll add you. The gates open at 7 p.m. Make sure you have enough room in your inventory for four fish. Rather than a simple contest of “who can catch the most fish in __ minutes.” I thought it would be more fun to see who can catch a set list of fish first. I will post the fish list on the bulletin board in my town and the winner gets fabulous prizes! Fish will be handed over to me before prizes will be awarded, so no cheating!

I broke down and got Metroid Prime Hunters tonight. I’m not really good with FPS games, but again, its a Wi-Fi title… so uh… Gotta Have it… I realised tonight that I have bought more games for the DS than I have for the last two game systems I had total.
Here’s my friend code for it. Same deal as always… if ANYONE hapens to get it.. post your friend code here so I can play you. I promise I SUCK at FPS so I’m an easy target…

I managed to run the battery out on my DS playing Wi-Fi tetris this morning before work, and from the moment I got off work.
It’s nice to not be the worst player in the game for a change. I have run into some MUCH MORE talented people though so I’ve defintly gotta work on my game. I’ve gotten a little better since yesterday. Yesterday I couldn’t beat the computer on the new push mode, today push mode, level one was childs play, I beat it barely looking at the screen. Level 2 wasn’t all that bad either.
MUAHAHH I likey!!!
Ok, it’s March 20th!!! FINALLY!!! Tetris DS is out, and I own a copy. I poped it in, connected Wi-Fi… For the 1st time on any of the Wi-Fi games I felt liek I actually stood a chance againt the rest of the world. WOOOHOOO!!!

And yes, I have do have the animals in town talking in BFA… It’s their own fault, the first thing they gave me upon entering town was a suit of armor…
Keeping with my Nintendo DS obsession^h^h^h^h^h^h^h^h^h theme of this week, I heard there is to be a “Tetris DS” released on March 20th. It has Wi-Fi and will allow up to four players to play over Wi-Fi, or eight over local wireless. Sorry to the non-game playing people reading this, but I’m finally feeling like my purchase might have been worth it, now that the big N is finally starting to release Wi-Fi titles. So in celebration of Tetris DS I give you:

You’re the dependable all-purpose utilityman. You
can squeeze into tight places, fill big gaps,
make a space for your fellow pieces, and rack
up big-point triples with equal ease. You
rock.
Which Tetris piece are you?

I just heard some wonderful news. Opera is parterning with Nintendo to release an Opera Cart for the Nintendo DS. I’ve been waiting for this for quite some time. Think about it, a portable web browser with out local storage, that has nearly insta on capability. No need to worry about viruses, or security exploits because all you woudl have to do is turn off the device and turn it back on. I fear though that they wont go this route, that they will include plenty of local storage for hackers to mess wth. Even worse is the posibiltiy of hackers exploiting code that then allows them to overwrite teh firmeware in the DS itself and really trash it. But I suppose that would really only happen if someone went to more nefarious sites.
Read more about the news in the official press release.

I added a new category, “Fun & Games”. The main reason for this is so that people can avoid my Nintendo DS ramblings. To that end… Here I go again…
I picked up Bomberman DS and have been playing it the past few days. It’s fun. I am dissapointed that they did not include Wi-Fi support. I have heard rumors that the next one will. I’ll believe it when I see it. I suspect that the company doesn’t want to include Wi-Fi becasue they would have to maintain servers etc. Of course I could be mistaken, and the Wi-Fi could be something that Nintendo themselves maintain. Bomberman does at least include the single cartridge multiplayer capabilities.
